The Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 61" Wide - Black automatically extends and retracts with your slide-out to keep rain, leaves, and debris from collecting on top. By shielding the roof of the slide-out, it prevents water pooling, mildew, and seal damage that can occur when the slide is retracted. Once installed, it works every time you extend or pull in your slide, so you don’t have to climb up and sweep it off after every storm.
Made from premium 13.5-oz vinyl, this awning is built for long-term outdoor use. It’s cold-crack tested to -25°F, so the fabric won’t stiffen or split when the temperature drops. The heat-welded seams are watertight to keep rain from seeping through. The black fabric matches the black hardware for a clean, finished look that blends right in.
This topper is made for slide-outs that measure 57" to 61" wide and extend up to 48". The awning rail is 61" long, and the fabric, when fully extended, measures 61" wide by 48" long. You’ll need at least 7" of clearance on each side of the slide-out for installation, or you can go down one size if space is tight.
The topper comes with the brackets, awning rail, and hardware you need for installation. The roller tube arrives with the fabric already mounted, so setup is simple. The awning rail mounts up to 5" above the slide box trim, and the included self-tapping screws make it easy to secure the access plate and brackets. With a second set of hands, most DIY installers can get it mounted in a few hours.
Because the awning mounts directly to the slide box, it extends and retracts automatically with the movement of the slide-out. This keeps the roof protected without any extra steps. Whether you’re camping in the rain, dust, or sun, the topper gives you dependable coverage and helps keep the inside cooler by shading the slide from direct sunlight.
The slide topper you receive may or may not be from the Solera 5000 Series. A minor redesign has changed the shape of the extension bar, awning heads, and brackets. There is no difference in how it functions or installs.

I received the 121" awning a few months in delay, but this was not etrailer's fault. They kept in constant contact with me and I appreciate that. The awning came on an 18 wheeler and the extruded channel had been bent slightly, but easily fixable. The hardware pack was good and wrapped up nicely. Overall, a great purchase and easy to install like 2 hours with a friend. Watch the video for the installation tips it's very helpful. Definitely worth it!

The screws that came with the awning were worthless!! They broke off and were a pain to work with. I had to get my own metal screws to put it on. It’s ridiculous that they use these low quality screws!!! Everything else was great and it works perfectly. The metal screws is why it didn’t receive a 5
The best their is for a slide topper. Comes well protected by being shipped in a heavy cardboard tube.

I love these awning that cover the slide-outs! I do not have to remove the sticks and leaves from the side and climb up on the roof of the RV. Easy to use and work great!
Now after one year of use the slide-out covers “awnings” work still great! No signs of use, look like new. Super happy with the purchase and as usual with the etrailer - that is always my first place to go for my towing and camping gear.
